consciousness and unconsciousness

The quality of consciousness is generally related to living beings, while the quality of the subconscious is the dominant inanimate object, and the separation between man and animal is carried out in terms of awareness of the five senses, because they are characterized by life and the ability to breathe, which is a feature that the two types share; However, the best quality that distinguishes between them is that of the mind. The ancient psychologists have studied the attributes of consciousness and the unconscious, and they talked about the quality of consciousness on the level of the human soul, and they also concluded that the quality of the unconscious is present in the human soul, and it is limited to inanimate objects only. The focus of ancient philosophers in Greece and those who followed them on the human psyche, while old psychologists such as Descartes focused on the attribute of
consciousness, while modern psychologists such as Freud from and after him focused on the attribute of the unconscious, and philosophers clarified their view of the attributes of consciousness and the unconscious with the following: they started with God Almighty And the Almighty, they said: God is alive with spirit and mind and thus possesses complete awareness in his highest states, then they moved to inanimate objects and found that there is no life in it, nor has a soul, and no mind; As the quality of the unconscious overcomes it, whereas living things have life and soul, and it possesses the attributes of consciousness and the subconscious, and man has life and spirit, or soul and mind, and he possesses the attributes of consciousness and subconscious as well, and they reached that the goal of consciousness is to preserve life and make it better.
The relationship of awareness with the unconscious

Carl Jung explained in linking awareness of the subconscious that when an idea about the human mind is absent, this does not mean that it was lost, but rather that moments were separated from consciousness and became within the subconscious field; However, these ideas later come back through the unconscious, and the effect of the absent thoughts remains in the conscious mind, which is what the unconscious includes, just as the ideas and images in the subconscious space lose their energy and become somewhere below the threshold of consciousness, meaning that they received a small portion Of human interests; In order to create a new space for new ideas, perceptions and impressions in the realm of consciousness. As for dreams, they are the language of the unconscious, and they are symbols of facts and events that do not appear realistically, and feelings and ideas can appear as symbols in dreams, in other words, the unconscious appearance of any event appears on In the form of symbols which are dreams, Jung considered the unconscious dreams that she is the adviser friend of consciousness; It expresses specific matters that may happen in the future, and this means that it is a source of correct information, and psychologists assure that dreams offer advice and guidance to a person in some cases, even if Jung advises himself through a dream. Karl Jung described the subconscious related to dreams as a kind of general awareness that contradicts human awareness and conscious knowledge, and it is a type of thinking that results from a human group whose members are very similar to the degree of union. On it, and he becomes aware of different perceptions, and in the interpretation of dreams a transformation of symbols from dream to reality, and in this way it is converted into conscious knowledge, and transferred from feeling to unconscious, so dreams become symbols recognized by people.

Awareness

The science of consciousness appeared and distinguished in the seventeenth century at the hands of the philosopher Descartes, and then he followed in his approach other philosophers after him, and the concept of consciousness was new in the science of philosophy at the time; Where the concept of the unconscious had no significant significance, [1] and modern Cartesian philosophy defined the mind as the basis of individual responsibility and its reward for its actions; However, modern philosophy turned this idea upside down, and it marginalized the mind and demonstrated that it is controlled by instincts and unconscious powers.] The awareness is either external or internal; The external awareness is what is related to the external world, and it relates to everything that comes through the five senses and what follows from them, such as: imagination and memory, and the mind is the highest degree of awareness, while the internal awareness is what relates to the inner world and psychological phenomena, and this is known as the intuitive awareness that It takes place through the mind and leads to introspection, and awareness may be direct, and this means that it is related to the present and reality, or indirectly, which is related to the past and memories. It gives consciousness the freedom of a person to choose his thoughts, feelings, memories, and actions, and it gives him the ability to analyze, compose, and conclude, and makes the individual integrated and adapted to those around him, and when the person performs actions that he does not find a convincing explanation for, or when he has some unconvincing tendencies, then he moves from the attribute of awareness To the subconscious.

Unconscious
Sigmund Freud was the first to experiment experimentally with the unconscious background that leads to consciousness, and he relied on the hypothesis that dreams are related to consciousness, and it does not happen by accident, just as dreams start from the process of free association, a method that Sigmund Freud discovered to treat mental patients, and ensure the continuity of the relationship between him And among his patients, he was asking the patient to unleash his ideas without putting any conditions on them, and in this way the patient would speak with everything he had in mind without concealing any details of any nature, so he mentioned them all; Whether it was normal, secret, critical, or painful, even if it were trivial as well. Using free association, Freud was able to reveal many psychological matters. Freud observed that remembering an individual for some of the events that occurred in the past is difficult because of the painful or disgraceful to the soul, so the human forgets them, and its remembrance becomes difficult later; Because of the resistance that prevents its emergence again, Freud's observations resulting from the process of free association were the basis for building the method of psychological analysis later; [4] but Jung refuted Freud's theory and dreams, and said: Dreams have a special significance, and a new theory of consciousness emerged on his hand. The subconscious was defined as an essential part of an individual's life, as important as the importance of consciousness, and Young described it as the intellectual world expressing the ego, and this is a definition contrary to Freud's hypothesis, which counted the subconscious as a mere hole that allows everything that is repressed within the soul to come out of desires.
