Luxury Curves Stéphanie Zwicky

At the moment, I am picking up my pen again for a new subject that stirs my thoughts. I recently had the chance to do a live with Stéphanie Zwicky, the popess of plus size fashion for me, on luxury and plus size fashion. It can be seen again here:

It is true that most popular plus size brands offer accessible (and fortunately) fashion and sometimes a questionable production system. I plead guilty because I consume a lot of this fast fashion which allows me to be trendy and vary my looks at an affordable price. On the other hand, since my size simply doesn't exist elsewhere, I have no other choice but to wear clothes from these brands.

But above all, I'm a fan of fashion as a whole, I would even love art. I decipher the trends, I devour the fashion shows and I try to incorporate them into my wardrobe. By being well dressed and surrounded by beautiful things, I feel beautiful and fulfilled. I only seek to embellish my daily life with magnificent objects, fantasy and creation. To some I'm certainly materialistic and superficial, but that's what I do.

You will probably tell me that I consume too much. I love mixing these plus size fashion brands with other fantastic items that will last a long time. This is why we will talk about luxury: The lifestyle that is characterized by significant spending on unnecessary things (according to the dictionary definition).

This is a subject that can be taboo because it strongly concerns money. You don't have to be extremely rich to wear luxury. Some parts, like accessories, are more accessible than others. It's also a question of priorities, I consider myself to be a big spender, I can say that my handbag costs more than my car and that I prefer to treat myself to a luxury item rather than saving wisely. Everyone can choose without judgment.

Let’s get back to the main topic: luxury and plus size fashion. It's a sad fact that there are few large, high-end brands that have as much panache as standard luxury brands. In Europe, Marina Rinaldi from the Max Mara group, who offers incredible pieces of very good quality with crazy collaborations, is the only one who stands out from the crowd.
