The choice of food is essential to maintain good health. Refined products should be eliminated from your diet and unprocessed foods should be promoted.
"It's essential for anyone wishing to optimize their health, performance or weight control to favor low GI carbohydrates," says nutritionist Anthony Berthou at TopSanté magazine.
Healthy food is also useful for the proper functioning of the circulatory system and organs: intake of vitamins, fiber, minerals and antioxidants. Spectacular metamorphosis of Emma Sealy
Emma Sealy, a 35-year-old girl from the English commune of Redich - in the West Midlands region of England - weighed over 181 kilos and saw her life spin because of her bad eating habits: she could no longer walk well or fasten the seatbelt of his car. She was convinced that she was going to die before midlife. But thanks to the awakening of her conscience, she took her life in her hands and radically changed her diet. She also followed a regular training.
Long before losing weight, Emma had a tendency to skip breakfast. For lunch it was sausages, cheese and chips with onions on the menu. Chicken curry and rice bread never failed at the dinner table. His favorite snack was chocolate. These habits were born following the death of his best friend. She found refuge in the food. But Emma soon realized that she had to pull herself together and she went to see a doctor. The latter makes him understand that if she is unable to lose weight naturally, he will have to perform a surgical operation, something that did not leave the young woman indifferent, because his reaction was fast: She did not want to be operated on. Emma preferred to take her time to lose weight, but the bottom line for her was that this thinning is for her a new impetus to carry out her life.
Her old routine did not give her any joy, but on the contrary, Emma suffered from several cardiovascular and digestive disorders. She felt disgusted with what she was and wanted to change her body at all costs.
As a result, the young woman followed a balanced diet with regular meals and fresh, unprocessed foods.
For breakfast, she usually ate cereals with vegetable milk (almond milk for example), an oil-free tuna sandwich with black bread for lunch and, for dinner, steamed fish with fresh vegetables. And as for snacks, she replaced chocolate with apples, pears, strawberries and oranges.
As she went, she started losing about six pounds a month. In addition to the new balanced diet, Emma followed a training with a personal coach, in addition to cycling and running when the weather allowed.
Today, she says she has more confidence in her and is very proud to have lost 125 kilos. Although she took 2 years to get there, she is proud of the result and the transformation of her silhouette. By dint of perseverance and sport, she achieved her goal in a completely natural way
