But when it comes to carbs, the amount varies for different types of grains, and while skipping white bread can help you shed a few extra pounds, cutting out whole-grain bread can rob your body of important nutrients.

1. You may suffer from leg cramps

People trying to lose weight usually decide to cut carbs as much as possible, but giving up bread altogether can adversely affect you. If you plan to follow a keto diet that eliminates bread and almost all other carbohydrates, you may experience leg cramps. This painful condition usually occurs at night and can last from a few seconds to a few minutes. In fact, bread is high in electrolytes, and when your body doesn't get enough of these essential nutrients, it can lead to muscle cramps.

2. You may feel tired

Although white bread isn't the healthiest option for getting enough carbs, eating whole wheat and sprouted grain bread in moderation will give your body more energy. And since these foods are high in fiber, iron, and magnesium, they'll help you feel full and energized, and may even give you enough energy to hit the gym after a busy day at work.

3. Your sugar craving may increase

Since bread can be eaten for energy, giving it up completely forces you to seek out another source of energy.
