Insomnia: A miracle technique for falling asleep fast, according to a Harvard professor

Anyone who has trouble falling asleep should try Exercise 4-7-8. This is what the American specialist at the origin of this method affirms. Discover what is this miracle technique.

An effective breathing technique on sleep disorders
Counting the sheep, drinking a glass of hot milk, and other grandmother's remedies promise to help fall asleep faster ... But nothing works on you? And if before you go to bed tonight, did you try the "miracle" method, proposed by a Harvard professor?

Dr. Andrew Weil, author of several books on health, would have found the most powerful way to make you fall into the arms of Morpheus.

Called 4-7-8, this breathing technique, accessible to all, would increase the supply of oxygen in the nervous system, too active when we ruminate before sleeping for example.

How to apply the 4-7-8 method?
Sit comfortably in your bed or in an armchair
With the tip of your tongue, come lightly touch your palate, just behind the front teeth. Be sure to keep your tongue in this position throughout the exercise.
Inhale slowly through the nose, counting up to 4 in your head. Block your breath for 7 seconds
Exhale the air you have in your lungs, by the mouth counting up to 8
Repeat this breath three more times

Dr. Andrew Weil also recommends doing this breathing exercise to the sedative effect in all stress situations: overwork, important meeting in the office ...
