Crying once a week will relieve daily stress

An ultra-popular Japanese "tears teacher" in Asia argues that crying is the best way to immediately reduce one's stress level. A "crying" session a week is enough to relieve the pressure.

Whether it is rancor, anger, joy or gratitude, it is often said that one must let emotions express themselves. Being constantly in restraint can lead to frustration that can eventually hurt human relationships. This letting go is often expressed by tears - of happiness or sadness, depending on the occasion - which are essential if one wants to evacuate the stress to which one is subjected every day. This is the theory of Hidefumi Yoshida, a former high school teacher in Japan, who is now organizing workshops across the country on tears and their benefits. "Crying is more effective than laughing or sleeping when it comes to reducing your stress level," says the 43-year-old specialist at the Japan Times. And as we do not all cry to order, we can deliberately capsize his emotional state by listening to sad music (special post-break, perhaps?), Watching dramatic movies or reading stories upsetting. Mental health will be greatly improved, according to Hidefumi Yoshida, thanks to the stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system which has the power to reduce the heart rate and thus lighten the mind.

Crying once a week is enough
"If you cry once a week, you can lead a stress free life," says the expert. And its legitimacy is not to question: in 2014 and in collaboration with Professor Hedeho Arita who teaches medicine at Toho University in Tokyo, the man has conducted a series of conferences in which he put ahead of his discoveries on "beneficial" tears. Since then, he is constantly solicited by schools and companies who wish to receive his precious advice in order to optimize the conditions of study or work. Other Dutch research conducted in 2015 already suggested that crying improved the initial state of mind. It's worth a try, right? Come on, everyone at his Christmas TV movies with ultra-perfect and romantic love stories ... Have a good time!
