In November 2015, police officer Daniel Ellis received a call about a robbery attempt in Lexington, Kentucky. He and his colleagues were looking for a man who tried to kill a kindergarten teacher when he was ambushed by the suspect and shot him in the head.

Daniel, a seven-year-old veteran, was taken to hospital and died two days later.

Katie Ellis, Daniel's wife, suddenly found herself as a single mother infected with her young son Luke. They tried to pick up the pieces as best they could, but finding a feeling of joy was almost impossible.

Five months after the death of the heroic officer, famous comedian Jay Leno arrived in the Katy district for an evening of laughter and laughter. This event, entitled "An Evening with Friends," had a special honor in law enforcement. "Everyone thinks the world is a terrible place, but there are better people than bad people," Lino told reporters. "You only hear bad people, this police officer was a good man."

Members of the community entered into force, and Katie was also present - although it was certainly a sweet and bitter opportunity.
In the video below, Katie is called on stage to receive a special and unexpected gift. I hope this brought him some sun.
